Genting Trip

Went to Genting Highlands on 28 April 2009 with my family. Barely had my ass on my house for more than a day, the whole family already heading to Genting.

For those non-Malaysians, Genting Highlands is a famous mountain resort in Malaysia where there are two theme parks and one and only legalised casino here in Malaysia. Haiz...if you want more info bout it just go Wiki it la...

Anyhow, began journey around 11am I think. Reached there about 2pm. After checked in, we went straight away to the outdoor theme park. Have to say, I was rather bored with their rides already. I came almost once a year and their attractions haven't really changed much. Not like I had to pay for the entrance ticket. And I did enjoyed myself. Hehe.

And since I'm finally old enough to enter their casino, surely I won't miss the chance at all la. The first time I passed their security guards without breaking a sweat. But the second time I was trying to bring my sister in. They stopped us. Haiz. I don't mind letting them check since I already 21. Didn't really gamble much since my father was around...don't want let him know that his son is a gambling addict...hehe...

that day went to Town Steamboat Restaurant in MacCallister Road...rather cheap le...jz RM 20 per head...

even though d following day got exam, i still talked them into going 4 steamboat (which I regret a bit for disrupting my friends' studies and also my own)...hehe...it's also served as a farewell dinner cz all of us will be heading back to our respective hometown after 27/04...

Haiz...dunno wat to write d...so long already d event...

It's something worth celebrating 'cause exams are over! Screw it on how I performed in it...what matters the most is the END of it...

Hmm...last minute study...didn't attend lecture AT ALL except for the 1st class...even though I didn't attend the classes, I get the gist from reading the notes, which is Islamic civilization-good, Western civilization-evil...it's just 80 MCQs so, if don't know, shoot...

Another horrible subject...there's no textbooks whatsoever for us to refer to...our reference notes-Rancangan Malaysia Ke-9...I'm like, WTF...even though I knew what topics the questions will be about, I really don't expect much from this subject...screw it...if can maintain B-, it's already a blessing...

At first aim A but after the exam, B+ also very happy already...too many nights burning midnight oil lately...even during the exam my brain was like so vacant...haha...some more didn't practise...haiz...

MSG 162 (Applied Statistical Methods) - 27/04/09
Was full of confidence (not really la but still...) before the exam...the night before the exam even when steamboat with friends (post bout it later...) till 11pm...but when I came out from the exam hall, all I said was FUCK! FUCK! FUCK!...screw up...not enough time to finish...not sure of my answers...haiz...

Don't care la...in 9hours time I'll be heading Genting Highland with family...hurray...finally can enter casino...gonna gamble...wish me luck!

Football At Its Worst!

Not a big fan of football (or any sports to begin with) but when I saw this in the mamak stall 2 days ago, I had to post it. That player, Pepe, is the most stupid player, kicking the opponent like that. Serve him right being suspended for 10 matches.

After Exam (Almost...)

Lately my sleeping hours were like those blood-sucking vamps, active till wee of the night and sleep during afternoon. Haiz..what to do, exams were on and I barely covered everything. I even didn't sleep for few days already just to brush up my studies. Now that 5 out of my 6 papers were in the past, I can relax a bit since I got like 6 days to do revision for the last paper.

Yesterday, went out with my friends to Queensbay to watch the Thai horror movie, Coming Soon. The movie was nothing special, just some typical horror movie. Then, we went to Manhattan Fish Market to enjoys their fish and chip. Very nice. We sat there and chat till like almost 6pm. Mostly gossips (who they like, who they don't like,etc) and TVB series.

After lunch at Manhattan, we shifted our dinner to Dragon-i for their RM 1 chicken. Jesus, their dishes are like super expensive le. Just one plate of fried rice also cost RM 16. And it's just for one serving only. Due to our students' status, we can't like afford anything in the menu but since we had glued our butts on their chairs, not ordering anything and leave would be so humiliating. So, we just ordered 1 plate of fried rice and that RM 1 chicken that had us in the restaurant in the first place.

When the super expensive fried rice was served, we had our first taste, which is nothing. That's right, a bloody tasteless fried rice was served to us and it took us RM 16. My uni cafe only costed me less than 1 buck for a plate of fried rice and it tasted a million time better. Even that RM 1 chicken tasted way better and it's way cheaper too.

While the food was not nice, the deco in the restaurant was very pretty. It's very Chinese and serene. We were seated by window so can enjoyed ourselves with the view.

After dinner, we went for some joy ride around Penang. Stop a while in Jelutong. We sat there and felt the breeze in the air...only for a while 'cause a moment later, it's raining.

Then, we went back Queensbay again for night screening of Knowing. This is a last minute plan, therefore, we ended up being on the first row in the cinema hall. It was so uncomfortable especially for me. Haiz...

The movie was rather good, though the ending sucks. Very weird last scene. The CGI was awesome, with the plane crashing, subway train overturning, and the dying of the Earth.


Before heading back hostel, went for supper. Barely had anything during dinner, everyone was quite hungry by the time the movie ended. Went to Khaleel, the usual spot.

All in all, a nice way to reduce the stress we had during the exam. Now, back to the Statistic notes for my last paper...then, FREEDOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Innocent Moments

FIRST STORY

Scene: Sunway Pyramid

A was walking with her friends when they came across a toy shop. Feeling curious, she entered the shop and looked around. She found a long, silicon thingy which she flagged it around. Then she said, " This one I can buy for my baby niece for her to bite on." Obviously, the toy shop is a sex toy shop and that long, silicon thingy is a dildo la...Imagine if she bought it for her niece...

Haha...due to the super sucky connection in the public uni which simply won't allow me to upload photos, I need to go to mamak stall for their SLIGHTLY superior wifi...Haiz...

Birthday

The day when you turned 21 came and went away like the speed of sound. When the clock stroke 12am, my friends brought out a huge Baskin Robbin cake to celebrate my birthday. It was so lovely of them to do so (though I kinda saw it coming, but on the wrong time). So touching (till tears came flowing down like a stream...NOT!)...then went to Khaleel mamak stall for supper...Thanks yea, Mr. Long, Mr. Looi, Arsene, Chi Fang, Mei Ling, Zheng Ee, Xin Yi & Leng Hai...

Then, on that day itself, my family drove all the way from Ipoh to Penang just celebrate with me (it's just an excuse for them to come shopping, but still...hehe). Spent 1/2 a day with them shopping.
