Of Kame-Hame-Ha and Model

Today, went with my coursemates to watch Dragonball : Evolution in Queensbay. Supposedly to watch Watchmen but due to someone, the reservation I made for the show got canceled. Let me tell you what crimes the movie had committed.

Firstly, there’s the Caucasian American actor playing a Japanese character named Goku completed with Asian manga hairstyle. Then, the Japanese grandpa of the Americanised Goku which is played by a Korean actor, I believed. There’s the American high school Goku attended that was filled with stereotyped Americans teen characters.

Just like one of the scene from the movie...

The romance between Goku and Chi Chi is so sudden and undeveloped. The name Yamcha reminded me of going yum cha with my friends. The antagonist Piccolo had a green plastic/rubber face. Then, there’s the screen after the credit that screamed sequel. And the movie barely lasted 90 minutes which is fortunate, albeit a waste of money.

There’s so many cheesy moments throughout the movie that I thought I’m eating cheese baked rice. Luckily, I’m not a fan of the manga and the animated series. If not, I’ll screamed all the Fs and B’s and any vulgar words known to human. The movie is a piece of cheese. B-grade some more. Not wonder it’s called Dragonball : Evolution…it had evolved from a well-known anime to a B-grade piece of cheese. Haiz…

This is better than the movie...

After that, we went to Kim Gary for dinner. Haha, I ate cheese baked rice with seafood and unagi. All the cheesiness in the movie made me wanna indulge myself with some real cheese. Delicious.

p/s While lepak-ing around Qbay, a lady approached me with a flyer. Thinking that she’s some salegirl from whatever shop, I just smiled kindly at her while shaking my head until I heard of what she said: she was asking me if I’m interested to be a model or participate in some model competition thingy. Something like that la. I was surprised by it but my feet were continuing with the momentum of the movement and when I want to look for her again to have a look at that flyer, she disappeared already. Me, a model? Haha…And this is for real one, OK?
