Welcome, 2009!

HAPPY NEW YEAR, PEOPLE!!!

We had stepped our feet into a new beginning! And what's better to celebrate the occasion that to enjoy it with dear friends.

The last day of 2008 went away rather good, I think. We went to Queensbay around 4 something in the afternoon and came back before 12.00am (
yes, AGAIN we did not really count down to the last second of 2008! I blame it on the girls!). By we, I means me, Xin Hao, Chi Fang and Mei Ling, my fellow coursemates.

We went there early just to have a glimpse of Bosco Wong, a TVB actor. Both the girls were quite crazy about him. We were on the backstage getting ready to go up (the escalator was near the central court) for better view when he passed by us! We were technically unprepared, therefore didn't manage to take any picture of him at that moment.

He was quite on time, just late for few minutes, unlike some other singers or artists who appearances usually 1/2 hours late or more. Like every TVB artists these days, he was here to promote his EP. Throughout the sing-and-autograph session which only lasted for 1/2 hour, he was very playful and funny. His game session was also rather interesting. He only sang one song from his EP before resigned to giving autographs.

After that, we went to have our dinner. Initially we thought of going Kim Gary Restaurant whom Bosco is their spokeperson, but it was crowded with people. There was a long queue just to eat at the restaurant. Therefore, we shifted to Wong Kok Restaurant, another restaurant with a TVB artist as their spokeperson (Roger Kwok). There I ordered a set, fried fish cutlet with fried rice in black pepper sauce, i think.

How stupid were we not to stick to Kim Gary for Bosco was having dinner there! When we passed by the restaurant after we had our dinner, we saw a HUGE crowd outside the restaurant, and being a smart person I am, I immediately guessed it. Hell, we have to cramp with the crowd just to see him eating! Those eating at that moment were so bloody lucky, dining along with the star!

If you can't take with the real one, poster will do!

Then, we went out for the countdown concert. At first, it was very boring. The opening act was so-so, the first few singers who took the stage were all local (Henley, Farah Asykin, Athena-who is she?). We were rather bored by it. Somemore, the atmosphere was pitiful. Not much hype about it. One word, sian.

After we had enough of the concert, we went to Baskin Robbins for some dessert (it's 31st!). Again, there was a lot of people lining up for ice-cream. Spent RM 18.50 for ice-cream! While I was eating, I remembered back what my father had said last Saturday or Sunday when we went to Tesco. He was looking at the Mat Kool ice-cream box and said, and I quote, " This one, RM 6.00 for 1.5 litres, worth it!" Wonder what my father will say if he knew about the ice-cream?

The crowd!
I ordered Mad About Chocolate & Espresso Shelbert
Delicious!!!

We sat there, chatting and savouring our deliciously expensive ice-creams before heading back home. There were no bus already at that hour therefore we have to resort to taxi. We thought of doing count down and later walk back to campus if there no taxi available but the thought of walking scared the girls. Therefore, when we saw a cab, we quickly nabbed it and headed home.

When the clock stroke 12.00am, I was taking my bath. That's how I spent my last day of 2008!
